ALUMINI

Our Alumni Association plays an important role in helping to shape the future of our DSCET by representing the views of its members, and contributing to building an engaged and supportive alumni community.

The Alumni Association, organises a wide range of events – some social, some knowledge sharing, some celebratory. It is also committed to supporting alumni in their careers and intern opportunities.

EVENTS

The Best of DSCET held annually. The number of visiting alumni and family guests continue to grow year on year, and the packed programme on offer includes garden parties, Hall Association dinners, and lunch with the Vice-Chancellor, lectures and visits to new developments within the DSCET. The Alumni Association Annual Lecture features talks by prominent alumni on controversial.

AWARDS

The Alumni Association Student Awards acknowledge achievements outside of academia at an event that offers alumni the chance of celebrating outstanding achievements by current students to our Institute surrounding community, as well as recognizing extraordinary achievements by students who have overcome personal difficulties

HONOURS

The Alumni Association is invited to make annual recommendations for the conferment of honorary degrees. For the most part, these are awarded to alumni.

Our alumni are important stakeholders in the future development of our Institution, and the views of the alumni community are valued and frequently sought by the executive. This importance is reflected in our representation on the University’s Board of Trustees.
