M.E. COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
Program Outcomes (PO)
An ability to independently carry out research / investigation and development work to solve practical problems.
An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document.
Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program.
Program Specific Outcomes (PSO)
Advanced Computing and Problem Solving: Analyze, design, and implement advanced algorithms, architectures, and computational models to develop sustainable and scalable solutions, aligning with industry and societal needs to solve complex problems in diverse domains.
Research and Innovation Competence: Undertake independent research and apply advanced tools and methodologies to propose innovative solutions for real-world and interdisciplinary computing challenges, demonstrating research aptitude.
Eligibility Criteria
M.E. Computer Science and Engineering
Candidates should have passed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology (B.E. / B.Tech.) in relevant branches such as:
- Computer Science and Engineering
- Information Technology
- Computer Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Or equivalent relevant discipline
Admission is based on the entrance (TANCET / GATE) marks conducted by Anna University & Consortium of Self Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu.
Admission Procedure
Government Quota
Admissions to the Government Quota are handled by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. Candidates seeking admission under the Government Quota must have written the TANCET exam (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) conducted by Anna University or GATE score. The single-window counseling normally takes place in the month of July / August every year at the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore.
The selection process is based on the scores in the entrance test as well as past academic record.
Management Quota
Admissions under the Management Quota are made purely on merit based on the entrance test scores and past academic record.
Required Documents
Candidates shall be required to submit the following documents at the time of admission:
- 10th Mark Sheet & Certificate
- 12th Mark Sheet & Certificate
- Bachelor's Degree Mark Sheets (All Semesters)
- Bachelor's Degree Certificate / Provisional Certificate
- TANCET / GATE Score Card
- Transfer Certificate
- Community Certificate (if applicable)
- Migration Certificate (if applicable)
Counselling Information
The counseling dates and time will be communicated through a call letter sent by post. The merit list will be drawn according to candidates' marks in the entrance test (TANCET/GATE) and thus their rank will be determined. The venue of attending counseling rounds will also be mentioned in the counseling letter.
