Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous) (DSCET) is a rapidly emerging institution of excellence in engineering education, strategically located on the East Coast Road in the historic town of Mamallapuram. The institution is managed by the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Health, Charitable and Educational Trust, which has been rendering dedicated service to the field of education for over a decade. The college is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A+’ Grade.

Established in the year 2001 with three undergraduate engineering programmes and an initial intake of 150 students, the institution has grown steadily over the years. At present, the college offers 17 Undergraduate and Eight Postgraduate programmes with a total annual intake of 1,581 students. The continued approval from AICTE and affiliation with Anna University for this progressive expansion stand as a testimony to the institution's consistent academic growth and quality assurance.

DSCET is among the few engineering institutions to have secured National Board of Accreditation (NBA) accreditation for its eligible undergraduate programmes at the earliest opportunity. The institution is also recognised under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956. Anna University, Chennai has granted Permanent Affiliation to five undergraduate programmes — Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Information Technology — and one postgraduate programme, Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The institution places strong emphasis on innovation, creativity, and design thinking as core components of its academic and research ecosystem. Through outcome-based education, experiential learning, industry-oriented curricula, and dedicated innovation initiatives, DSCET nurtures problem-solvers, critical thinkers, and future-ready professionals.
