Laboratory Facilities

01
Data Science Laboratory

This lab focuses on developing practical skills in data analysis and scientific computing using tools like NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Statsmodels, and Jupyter Notebook. Students learn to handle arrays and data frames, and perform data preprocessing from multiple sources such as text files, Excel, and web datasets. The lab emphasizes descriptive, univariate, and multivariate statistical analysis using real-world datasets like the Iris and diabetes datasets. It also covers regression modeling techniques and comparative data analysis. Additionally, students explore a wide range of visualization methods, including 2D, 3D, and geographic data plotting.

02
Cryptography and Cyber Security Laboratory

This lab provides hands-on experience in implementing fundamental cryptographic techniques used in cybersecurity. Students develop programs for classical encryption methods such as Caesar, Playfair, and Hill ciphers, along with transposition techniques like Rail Fence. The lab also introduces modern cryptographic algorithms including DES, AES, RSA, and Diffie-Hellman key exchange. Additionally, it covers hashing techniques like SHA-1 and MD5 for generating message digests. The objective is to build a strong foundation in data security, encryption, and secure communication practices.

03
Database Management Systems and Security Laboratory

This lab focuses on developing practical skills in database management using SQL, including creating tables, applying constraints, and performing DDL and DML operations. Students learn to design relational databases with referential integrity using primary and foreign keys. The lab emphasizes data retrieval through queries, joins, subqueries, and aggregate functions. It also covers advanced concepts such as stored procedures, triggers, and transaction control. Additionally, students explore SQL Injection (SQLi) attacks and implement techniques to secure databases. The objective is to build strong foundations in database design, querying, and data security.

04
Ethical Hacking and Security Laboratory

This lab focuses on practical exposure to ethical hacking and penetration testing techniques using platforms like Kali Linux and Metasploitable. Students learn reconnaissance methods to gather initial information about targets using tools such as FOCA, SearchDiggity, and Maltego. The lab emphasizes information gathering from public sources and network analysis using tools like Robtex and Wireshark. It also covers vulnerability scanning using Nessus and identifying potential security weaknesses. Additionally, students explore automated exploitation techniques using Armitage. The objective is to develop hands-on skills in vulnerability assessment and network security analysis.
