About the Department

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology was established in 2019 with a sanctioned intake of 60 students. Affiliated to Anna University, the department strictly follows the prescribed curriculum and regulations to ensure academic excellence. It is committed to nurturing skilled biomedical engineers equipped to serve the healthcare and medical technology sectors. The department features modern, state-of-the-art laboratory facilities that support practical learning and innovation. Advanced equipment and hands-on training enable students to bridge the gap between engineering and medicine. A well-designed smart classroom enhances interactive and technology-driven teaching methodologies. The department library provides access to a wide range of textbooks, journals, and digital learning resources. Sensor and Measurements Laboratory was established in the year 2020, focused on demonstrating the basic principles in the area of sensors and Measurement analysis to the undergraduate students through a series of experiments.
