Anti-Ragging Committee

Ragging means display of disorderly conduct, or doing any act which causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm or raise apprehension of fear or shame or embarrassment to a new student in any educational institution. Ragging has ruined countless innocent lives and their careers. Hence the aim of the Anti-Ragging Cell is to eliminate ragging in all its forms and preventing its occurrence and punishing those who indulge in this criminal action with the proper legal legislations. It also aims and to provide the healthy environment, physically and psychologically, to all the students. Our College Campus has always been and will continue to be a ragging-free campus.

  1. • To enquire and report on the disciplinary issues of the students.
  2. • To give awareness on the intensity of ragging and its consequences.
  3. • To conduct awareness meetings for the first year students about the seriousness of ragging involving local police station officials.
  4. • To issue pamphlets and notices to the students about ragging and its impact.
  5. • To display the following two items on the notice board:
    1. • Actions that would be taken against the students indulging in ragging
    2. • Names of the Anti-Ragging Committee Members with their contact numbers.
    3. • To collect the details of the house owner from the students who stay outside the Campus hostel.
    4. • To keep an eye on all the students and check them throughout the day, especially during the breaks.


      Our College is a coeducational institution. It provides opportunities to both boys and girls to develop their leadership qualities. However, there are a large number of women who work hand in hand with men here. Hence, any unwelcome sexually motivated behavior, whether directly or by implication involving physical contacts or advances, demand for sexual favors, sexually spoiled remarks, and other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal expressions of a sexual nature which affects them right to work in a congenial environment at the workplace are strictly observed and severely punished . This cell aims at sensitizing the students and staff and working diligently to prevent sexual harassment in the college. Complaints of sexual harassment shall be lodged with the Committee and appropriate disciplinary action is initiated by the members in accordance to the rules and regulations of the college.
